Fun to play around with!

I got the Pika Art Starter plan last week 'cause I wanted to try making some animated stuff. It's actually pretty easy to use, just type what you want and it makes a video. Some of the results were really good, like the ones I made with 'Anime AI Video.' It's a cool way to mess around with AI, even if some of the videos were a little weird. Worth it for the price, I think.

Decent value, room to improve

I've been using Pika Art Pro for a month now, mostly for 'AI Animation' and 'Video to Video' features. The quality of the output, especially with 'Cinematic AI Video,' is pretty impressive for the price, especially since I got the annual subscription discount. Delivery of the generated content is quick, usually just a few minutes. However, the 'Lip Sync AI' feature could be more refined; sometimes it's a bit off. I also tried contacting customer service about a billing question, and while they eventually got back to me, it took about two days. Overall, a solid platform for creators, but a few tweaks would make it even better.

Good for quick videos

I used 'Text to Video' for a project. It worked. Generated decent clips. Got the Pika Art Standard plan, and it was straightforward to use. Fast results.

What payment methods do they accept? Just curious if I can use PayPal or if it's strictly cards.

M Mike Hughes 4 weeks ago
Pretty sure they take all the standard credit cards. Not sure about PayPal offhand though.

I've always used my debit card, so cards are definitely fine. I don't recall seeing a PayPal option when I subscribed.

can you actually stack discounts on pika? like if i have a referral code and it's also black friday?

R Renee 1 month ago
Afraid not, usually you can only use one discount at a time. That's been my experience anyway.

I tried that once, didn't work. It's usually one or the other, from what I've seen.

Hey guys, thinking about getting Pika, but how's the annual subscription versus monthly? Is the saving actually worth it?

K Kevin 1 month ago
Yeah, totally worth it. I switched last year and saved like 25% compared to what I was paying monthly.

It's a pretty good chunk of change you save, I think it's usually around 20-30% off if you do the annual.

I'm a student, anyone know if Pika offers a student discount? Trying to make some cool stuff for a project but budget is tight.

T Troy 1 month ago
I'm pretty sure they do! Check their site, I think I saw something about it when I signed up.

Yeah, they have a student discount. It's usually a pretty good deal too, helps a lot.

Does Pika ever do promo codes for new users or like, Black Friday stuff? Or is it mostly just the subscription tiers?

D Daisy Kaur 1 month ago
They do sometimes have promo codes, especially around Black Friday or other big sale events. I've seen them for specific campaigns.

Mostly it's the annual discount or referral bonuses. But I remember seeing a Black Friday deal last year, so keep an eye out then!

How long does it typically take for Pika to generate a decent video? Just wondering about turnaround times for projects.

I Ivy 1 month ago
Depends on the complexity and length, but for short stuff it's pretty quick, like a few minutes. Longer, more detailed things can take a bit more time.

K Kevin 1 month ago
I'd say anywhere from a minute for basic short clips to maybe 10-15 minutes for something more involved. It's usually pretty fast though.

Thinking of trying Pika, but also looking at Sora. Anyone used both and can say which is better for animation quality?

T Todd H. 1 month ago
Pika is pretty good, especially for the price. Sora is still super new and not widely available yet, so Pika is probably your best bet for now.

I've played with Pika a bunch and it's solid. Sora looks insane but good luck getting access. Pika definitely has a leg up on accessibility and features you can actually use.

Is it easy to cancel Pika if I decide it's not for me? Don't want to get locked into something complicated.

G Greg Y. 1 month ago
Super easy. Just go into your account settings and there's a cancel option. No hoops to jump through.

Yep, I canceled for a bit then came back. Took like 30 seconds.
